The other day I realised that I have really lost interest in my iPod(s) other than when I am running. This isn’t their fault, but more than I get sick of music really quickly and find it really hard to find new music that I like (especially since DJ Excalabah has left 1xtra).

Another reason for my lack of discovering new music is that I don’t see my main music influences from university as often as when I lived with them, and most of my work mates are into different music.

So I logged into Last.fm, the social music revolution to find some new stuff, and was really presently surprised. I last used the site ages ago when it was Audioscrobbler, and to be honest pissed me off. Luckily it’s changed and it’s bloody brilliant!

I quickly got scrobbing and tagging songs I liked to build up my profile, so I could get some recommendations, but also notices some of my old friends and discovered a few tunes from them! The next step is getting more friends on there or finding Excalabah’s user name!

The Hoff has made a music comeback! That’s right, some of you may not remember the days of past when Dave received the best ratings for any album on Amazon! but he has hit the music world with a fantastic come back single.

To be honest I can’t find the words in my humble vocabulary to express the shear audiable delights this man has mustered from his experienced rock past, so I will leave it to the guys at Sony BMG who must be counting the days till this beauty hits number 1!

That’s right, it’s Hofficial… your favourite cult icon wants to take you home! The one and only David Hasselhoff of “Bay Watch” and “Knight Rider” fame returns with a cover of the 1975 classic ‘Jump In My Car’ and its a doozy. Recorded in Sydney last year with the legendary Harry Vanda (AC/DC, The Angels), the Ted Mulry Gang tune has been re-vamped with full Hoff gusto and this music video promises to rock the socks off all his Hofficial fans. Watch it, enjoy it, share it courtesy of Sony BMG Australia.

I have to thank Mr. Wilton for bringing this to my attention!
