iPod range should be

Last night I twittered that the iPod range has become too diverse and confusing, and Apple may be heading down the same road as Nokia did in loosing their market dominance.

No longer will you be able to say have you got the latest iPod, or know how to use an iPod. Instead people will be confused about which ones are new and the differences between them meaning less hype when a new one is released. They will no longer become iconic.

My mock up above shows how it should be. A shuffle, a nano (small flash iPod), an iPod (with touch coming in both flash and hard drive flavours).
