Last.fm

The other day I realised that I have really lost interest in my iPod(s) other than when I am running. This isn’t their fault, but more than I get sick of music really quickly and find it really hard to find new music that I like (especially since DJ Excalabah has left 1xtra).
Another reason for my lack of discovering new music is that I don’t see my main music influences from university as often as when I lived with them, and most of my work mates are into different music.
So I logged into Last.fm, the social music revolution to find some new stuff, and was really presently surprised. I last used the site ages ago when it was Audioscrobbler, and to be honest pissed me off. Luckily it’s changed and it’s bloody brilliant!
I quickly got scrobbing and tagging songs I liked to build up my profile, so I could get some recommendations, but also notices some of my old friends and discovered a few tunes from them! The next step is getting more friends on there or finding Excalabah’s user name!

Ooh, if scally was on there that would quality! I don’t think I’ve listened to 1xtra regularly at all since they dropped his show.
So whats your last.fm username then?
