At Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Liverpool F.C. scores three goals in six minutes to tie the game and after extra-time goes on to defeat AC Milan 3-2 in a penalty shootout to win its first UEFA Champions League title since 1984. Goals from Steven Gerard, Vladmir Smicer and Xabi Alonso levelled he game in the second half.
