Yesterday myself and Tom took the plunge. After a quite launch of Ceros 1.7.3 we went to the ABCE meeting on web statistics (which in its self was fascinating). After, we headed home via Oxford street and after checking out a few shops went for the 360 pro system for £275 plus Rainbow 6 Vegas. The system also came free with Gears of war and some WWE game which I haven't gotten around to playing yet.
The initial set up too a while, creating a passport with the controller was painful and to get the included free 30 day trial I had to try and get the free silver one and then it told me I could have the gold one, make sense?. Anyway I added Tom to my friends list and we were up and chatting in no time, we then played co-op Vegas for hours before trying out a bit of terrorist hunt at the end.

Vegas is amazing, the detail and movement is great and the cover system works really really well. I love the team speak and the fact your character's mouth moves when you speak.
Xbox live is also really well implemented. You can switch over to the xbox dashboard at any time in the game (even when loading) and set up a chat with mates or see what game they are playing and join them. I was able to boot (after a crash... it is M$ after all) and click on tom and then join his game and be playing next to him in a few seconds... now that's pr0!
