Pixelbox

I woke up thismorning to find my Wii was blue (not as worrying as it sounds). On turning it on I had a message in my inbox from Nintendo to inform me that the weather channel was now open and ready for download. The weather channel is more or less a desktop widget showing you weather information (much like the XBMC dashboard) but the Wii version had a nice rendered globe you could navigate arround with the Wiimote to view diffrent weather conditions. I was mostly impressed however with the way the Connect24 worked. The system has an option to check through the internet for messages and then illuminate the drive slot when you have a new message. It looks like it could be really cool when they start the online gaming systems and allow messaging between friends!
