Gideon's Backlash

I found a link to this post from Andy Budd's site earlier today. Whilst in a hotel in New York James Edwards found a copy of the Bible and beside it a copy of Quran. So he then thought to himself, why limit this distribution of books to religious works and got himself a few copies of The Origin of Species to leave in the draw along with the other books.

So in true we style he is trying to get everyone who thinks it's a good idea to do the same and spread the work of Evolution in the same way Gideon did with the bible.

So next time you find yourself in a hotel, pop to the bookshop around the corner and get a copy (circa £4) to leave behind for someone else to discover next time they stay.

I also suggested leaving a copy of Star Wars episode 1 for all the Jedi, but not sure it will take on.

Why not leave your own!

  1. And while you're in the book shop see how many copies of the bible you can move to the fiction section.... ;)
  2. Love it! That is by far the best idea for fighting the bizarre indoctrinating tradition that is the modern world! Im currently in India, in a hotel room and bizarrely no books in the bed side cabinet! So book shop tomorrow. Its seems in this case the non believer has the upper hand!!! :)
  3. You talking about getting Attack of the Clones? as you'll never convert them using that crap ;)
